When I sold my bike last week, I took an 8 gig iPod touch in partial trade; I had decided some time ago that I wanted another iPod for the car, as if the iPhone is not in airplane mode, I can't hook it to the car stereo without so much interference, it makes it impossible to listen to music.

So.. great... Problem solved...


Please.. if it were that simple, it wouldn't be Apple....

(Don't get me wrong... being Apple is MOSTLY is a good thing... But when something DOES go wrong with Apple products, it is SO HARD to figure out how to fix it!!)

Anyway... The iPod Touch was jail broke when I got it.... When I tried to sync it, it said an update was available, I took it, and lo and behold.. No more Jail Broke... Which I was sorta expecting.... But now, I can't get the January '08 update ANYWHERE... After waiting on hold with Apple while the tech guy went to reasearch the issue for ten minutes, he came back and said "You have to do that through iTunes."

DUH!! It took you ten minutes to figure that out?? I knew that already, numb nuts!

Well...iTunes, different department... they'll email me a solution 24 hours or less... that was a week ago...still nothing.. So now, I wait until the July 11th update... fine.. whatever..

But can someone explain to me why my album artwork does not sync with the songs?? I mean... What's the point of Cover flow with no album art work!!

Any suggestions out there?

Ok, two things. This may or may not be a stupid question. If you have then forgive me. Did you choose "Get Album Artwork" in Itunes under Advanced?

2nd, if you don't have the artwork or it doesn't find it then you can go here http://www.art4itunes.com/getart/uploadtracks.php
I've had decent luck. It is just drag and drop once you find everything. Time consuming if you have a lot of stuff with no artwork though.

Yeah... I have the art work in iTunes... but it does not transfer to the iPod

Bug, I don't have an answer to your problem, but I do have a solution that's always worked for me: Make an appointment with the Genius at the Apple Store (you have one, yes?) and let them fix it for you.
