This is IT!! We are 28 days out from ride day! I have pretty much fully recovered from my fall, and am back on the bike and going at training like a rabid dog! I will be in tip-top shape come ride day, ready to do my part of this wonderful fundraising effort that we are undertaking. I want to thank all of you for doing YOUR part! To those of you who have donated: You have made this possible!! Not only have you donated money to help fund research, support and equipment for the thousands of people in Oregon and Southern Washington living with MS, but you have helped this person with MS directly by motivating me to train, to get in shape, to ride. I truly believe that my change in lifestyle, including the bike riding that YOU have helped motivate me to do, has staved off flare ups. I believe that living healthy and excercising has allowed me to be in the longest remission phase I have had since my diagnosis. I truly believe that this remission phase has the potential to go for many more years.... Long enough for the funds you donate to help find a cure. I know I sound like a hyperbolic telethon, but I cannot thank you all enough. Not only for your money, but for your support and caring.... You are truly weaving a miracle!
If you have not yet had a chance to donate, this is it! Follow the link at the very end of this email and make a donation.
As a thank you (oh.. yeah... and as a shameless plug for more donations), those of you who donate or have donated $50.00 or more (In money or equipment) will get a call from me during one of the rest stops on the ride to update you on my progress and to thank you personally*!!! It may be a short, breathless call, but I will call!
Thank you all again. It is true when I say that you are making a difference in the battle against MS; you have already made a difference in my battle against it. Don't forget to keep up with my progress on the MS Ride Blog Ride Blog Link!
From the bottom of my heart, and as Marianne, my fearless riding partner, would say, from the soles of my tired feet, THANK YOU!
