Aug. 23rd, 2005 07:36 pmThey say the Gods don't throw more at you than you can handle at any given time. If that is true then the Gods must think I possess incredible fortitude. I am in a new city where I know next to no one, 626 miles away from home and I have the Bavarian Death Cold. (I don't actually know that it is from Bavaria, but it sounds menacing, don't it?) PLUS, I am out of Netflix movies, and I am too high-minded (and cheap) to have cable, so I had to go to BLOCKBUSTER to open an account because I knew where it was and I don't know where any local independant video stores that are not owned by the The Mormon Church are. The good news is I got stupid, vapid movies that will make me feel better. And I went to QFC which was right next door to get a bell pepper and onion and sweet and sour sauce so I could make sweet and sour tofu over completly nutritionally empty white rice. Comfort food.
For the first time in my life, I have no roommates to whine at, so you're it folks... Sorry.
