My article got published along side [livejournal.com profile] wearbear's on FTMpride.com (Follow the link for "Articles sumbitted by readers" or something like that.)It's a huge honor and really cool, cuz Joe and I come to some of the same conclusions, even though we approach it from different lives, different experiences and different paths. Joe is one hell of a guy.

A HUGE "Thank you!!" to [livejournal.com profile] brandonriley and all the Other hotties folks at FtM pride.

Steve, you're one hell of man yourself. We're not the only guys who've reached a similar conclusions on this subject. I hope that as time goes by we meet more guys who get it.

i've started a habit of going back and reading my posts from a year ago - each day. and this was a highlight of this week last year. My friend Nikki came out in the local paper as a MTF transgendered person. She's long been an activist here. Boise has a surprisingly active transcommunity. When I was editor of the paper here (idaho's paper actually, from 1999 to 2002) we did a HUGE transgender issue including a wonderful interview with Mike Hernandez (Palm Springs) about his transition from ballerina to Mr. Bear Southern California. anywhoooooooo - here's a link to the article about my friend Nikki. She rocks.

I saw a guy tonight at Sundance (Big gay CW dance thing on sunday nights in SF) ina t-shirt that said "Tranny Chaser." I thought it totally rocked. I meant to ask him where he got it, but I could not find him again.

Great job!

Great job on the article (and you too wearbear, if you happen to read this) -- I have to admit I haven't spent alot of time thinking about FTM issues so those articles (and the rest of the site) were quite educational.

hi again... :) ...i wanted to respond further to the comment you left in my journal, but thought it better to do it elsewhere for certain reasons...

Hey.. found you thru another journal..Just read your posting here, and wanted to throw you some support.. Albiet from a stranger..To me, you sound like an awsome individual who knows himself and is confident in that knowledge.. People like that have a funny way of convincing people to join thier side without even trying... Again, I don't know you, but the fact that you are willing to compromise with your husband speakes volumes.. I am willing to bet that if you keep doing your thing, you husband will follow along in his own way and time. Love has a way of making us into people we never believed we could be... Just a thought. Hugs, Brother.

it's really funny you should say that about my husband following in his own way...
i've been trying to think about how i can write an entry updating about what's gone down in the past two weeks or so, but i can't think of how to do it without outing someone... namely my husband. apparently the reason he was so upset about my dealing with my trans-ness is that it was forcing him to deal with his own gender issues. it looks like we may both be going through transition together!!! nothing is certain yet though, and we have a lot of mutual friends who have friended my journal, so i don't know how to talk about what's going on in my journal. but anyway, yes, you are right... i'll just keep on doing my thing and if he has a problem with anything i'm going through i'll know to ask if it's because it's triggering something for him instead of compromising myself. i do know that it will all work out eventually. :)
thank you again for your kind support~*
