Everyone I admire is talking about Stone Butch Blues right now. I had a copy years ago, but never did get around to reading it and now I can't find it. SOOO....I innocently walk into the local branch of the Contra Costa Library, plop myself down at the computer, and searched for it.. No matches. That's odd.. Not in the ALL of the branches in the County? So I walk up to the counter and ask the Nice be-specticled librarian for help.. She looks it up on HER computer. No Matches. She switches over to an online Books In Print.... Finds it.. Does some clicking.. GASPS... "Oh! We wouldn't have a book like that."
"A book like what?" I ask, rather hotly. She says that I would have to go to "San Francisco" (Only she says it like "Soddom"). Whatever...

So I check out my mystery book.. I know I owe a fine, and I know what book it's for... She tells me I have a fine on my card.. I say, "Oh REALLY?? What for???"

She clicks some more.. Turns BEET RED... "Bitch Slap."

I made her say "Bitch"... Petty, but vengeful and oddly satisfying.

yeh, I just realized that tonight. We have so many common friends, that I was just used to seeing your comments...and didn't realize that we weren't listed as friends.

By the way, I think we may have met at Bondage and Bon Bons. You were in service I think. My Daddy is Mindy and she was on the table getting all the needles and hooks put in her by Gauge. I think we also met years ago at some bear events.

I can be shy in crowds and that coupled with being in service mode, usually means I don't look people in the face all that well..
