Ahhh..... I lay in bed this morning and finnished reading American Gods by Neil Gaimen. I had read it before, years ago, but POWELL'S BOOKS Has one of those mind erasing dampening fields... You know.. The ones that make you A) Forget every book you have been meaning to read and B) make books you have read look totally unfamiliar until you get them home. Record stores have a similar field.

Anyway.. American Gods is REALLY good, folks, if you have not already read it. And even if you already have. Especially on a lazy morning laying in bed.

Here's another thumbs up American Gods. My brother recommended it and it was pretty quick and pretty enjoyable. The ending wasn't what I'd expected, but was good. Very interesting idea, all in all.

And good call on the mind-erasing powers of book stores and music stores. I always get messed up by that.

Yeah! I went back into Powell's today and bought his book, Neverwhere. I am hoping it is good as well..

How did I manage to hold on to my intention despite the dampening field, you ask?? A simple head covering of aluminium foil thwarted their nefarious brain ray. True, I got some odd looks, but what price brain privacy?

BTW.. Are you new to my Lj??? You're cute...

What'd you think of Neverwhere? Just wondering if it's worth picking up a copy.

Thanks for the advice on the aluminum foil head gear. Here's to brain privacy at all costs.

Saw your post in TimberKev's friend's area. Thanks for the compliment, you're a handsome guy yourself.

I really liked American Gods. The 3rd Gaiman book I read. (Yeah, I'm late to the game.)
