This is a permanent move!! I am here for about 10 days right now, finding an apartment, then I am going back to pack the truck and move everything back. Should be all settled here by the end of the month at he latest..

I Love Seattle and I almost moved there.. But...

1) Lower cost of living here in PDX

2) More work... What with ASLIS, you can't swing a dead cat in Seattle without hitting 3 Terps.

3) My Sir moved to PDX 3 weeks ago. I followed her.

Wow. Last I heard, Portland had more of a glut of interpreters and they were all desperate for work, of course with TWO relay services opened there, they have probably lost alot of the freelancers. And ASLIS only turns out about 1-2 interpreters per year. But okay, just know that Seattle is an option later, hehe. I understand following Sir must be very important. Weee!

Good lord!! Don't tell me of a glut of interpreters here!! The few I talked to before deciding to move here told me that they were swamped all the time and that there was LOTS of work. Now you've got me all worried..LOL.. Not that I wasn't already...So if there is, in fact, not a lot of work here, I may have to try Seattle.

I have been doing the educational thing for a long time.. I was looking forward to just doing freeklance stuff for a while, but now I am getting nervous without that regular paycheck commng in, So I will probablly go the educational route again...
