So one of the problems with living WAY THE FUCK OUT IN THE BOONDOCKS (WFOB)is that I don't have much of a social life.. I mean, I do, but when all of your friends live like, AT LEAST 45 mins away, there is not much opportunity to pick up the phone and say "Hey! Let's meet for a cuppa at the local fabulous cafe with all the hunky bears and kids with really, really cool hair!!" It takes a lot more planning than that when you live 20 minutes from the freeway.

The other problem with living WFOB is Mockingbirds.. Yes.. My Mock(yeah)ing(yeah) Bird(Yeah)is back and with new and improved sounds!! I THINK it'a a fire engine siren... Or an ambulance...I dunno, but it's ANNOYING AS ALL HECK and this morning, he may have aquired the sound of me weeping in frustration. That would at least bring his sounds up to 3...

So, fuled by lack of sleep and isolation, I came up with the brilliant idea today that clothing is to blame for the evils of the world.... I'm not really sure why, but I thought you all could help me come up with data to supprt my idea.. or just tell me I am nuts, anyway..

Are they those black birds, the ones my Mom calls "blackbirds", the kind that were baked in a pie in some fairy tale or other? 'Cuz if they are, we have them here, too, and they're louder than frik'n HELL and I hate them. They love to squawk outside of my window around 5:30 am.

They are realted to blackbirds, I think, but the males "Aquire" sounds to impress females.. they do some pretty good imitaions of other sounds.. Mine does the "Beep Beep" of a car alarm being disengaged and now the siren sound...See my newest post for my idea on how to deal with this problem..

Geeze, do I have to solve all your problems for you? With the judicious use of some restraints, chains and a combination padlock you can keep yourself 'under control' until the sun comes up.

No wait, that'll just keep you up even worse...

(WFOB) I totally hear ya on this problem. I hate it myself. At least you have a car though. I'm stuck with BART and busses
