The Feminism test.. One thing sorta got me started off doubtful about this one.. it said "..Whether or not you consider your self a feminist, or are male..." Does that mean one cannot be a feminist and male?

Anyway, here are my .

In short, you advocate extreme cultural change through the destruction of gender roles, but politically you are less extreme, instead focusing on individual or legislative change as opposed to a massive change of ideology. Once again we are very similarly minded, not exact I'm sure which is a good thing, but very similar.
and yeah I would wonder about their wording,"..Whether or not you consider your self a feminist, or are male...". I'm a male looking biped and I consider myself to be a feminist.

That was what I got. Of course, I'm a bit strange (ha!).

Regarding the implication in the test's directions that men can't be feminists: I used to be friends with a woman who was a hardcore feminist who tried to distance herself from men as much as possible. She didn't believe men could truly be feminists--the most they could be, in her opinion, was "pro-feminist." I thought that was a lot of B.S. Not all women are feminists, & not all feminists are women.

As far as I'm concerned, I think if you think of women as equal to men and deserving of the same rights then you are a feminist, male or not. There are so many people who are afraid to even use the word - a lot of them women (who obviously don't understand what benefits they enjoy from the generations of activists and loud-mouths) - so it's really cool to hear men saying they're feminists.

Unless of course they are the type of guy that went to my college who said they were feminists to increase their chances of getting laid at parties (it was a very left-thinking college) but really had a very traditional view.
