This is, in fact, awesome :D

Though, the fact that they are creating bionic children that can shed older appendages for newer stronger ones does usher in the notion of apocalypse ;)

Oddly, I was watching this http://www.ted.com/talks/aimee_mullins_prosthetic_aesthetics.html a few days back, and was thinking how awesome it has become that we've been able to alter the perception of appendages, and how the 'handicapped' forces are slowly becoming 'more' than human, and more 'perceived' human all the time.

Truly inspiring.... but not inspiring enough to uh... take a load off... yet.
