A god has arisen in Portland

And His first comandment is DANCE!!

The town is a twitter with talk of Saturday night and the spell woven by whereispaco. You can go down to Vaseline Alley and see men, hollowed out from bliss, like a drug, wandering around in tattered leather with remnants of glitter and feathers clinging to their tear stained faces.

It was an ascention. He plugged in His controller, plopped in a few carefully chosen CDs, adjusted some sliders and opened a gateway to another world: a paradise of sound, a heaven of rhythm.

Oh sure, there were a few hold-outs. Wisend and stalwart cruising die hards who resisted the urge to groove, who clung to thier vain attempts to look cool. But in the end, we all succumbed. The fetters of Eagle Attitude were cast off and we were baptized in His river of music. He commanded Dance, and we, His humble and awe-struck servants, obeyed.

There were holy folks there to see us all into His kingdom. Yours truly and Sister Tasha Salad, of the Order Of Benevolant Bliss, The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.



There were beasts, former men who had been transformed into primal and wild beings. Feckless attempts to control them were employed, but the calling of His sound was too much, and some had to be locked in cages. (fuzzyjay)



There were angels; beings of astounding beauty made impossibly more glorious when bathed in His music.



We are all lost to His grace. We are all happy slaves to His whim.

Sadly, we missed his hole-ness. I can only deal with smoke-filled rooms once or twice a month and last week's Jack made me feel crappy for days. Glad that people are gettin' their groove on somewhere in this town.
