A pre Mother's Day fable.

I was driving to Mom's house with some boxes this afternoon and stopped at a red light. A guy in a big rig next to me jumps out and knocks on my window. I roll it down and he starts yelling..

Him: "Did you know you ran a red light back there?"

Me: (Suprised) "No! Did I?? I didn't even see it!"

Him: "Well you did! And cut me off!"

Me: "I am really Sorry! I will pay more attention"

Him: "you better, you asshole, or I'll...."

At this point, I am clear he is in a road rage. Now, I am kinda a big guy.. and I work in a ghetto school, so I know how to look mean when I have to, so I interrupt with:

Me: " I said I was sorry. You don't want to threaten me."

Him: (Putting his hands up and backing away from my car)" Ok, man.. Just be more careful.. Sorry"

So I was telling this story to my mom later.. and she pipes up with:

Mom: "Steven! What would you have done if he pushed it???"

Me: "What else? Screamed like a school girl."

Mom: "Thank god!! I was afraid you were gonna say you would have fought him. And you have such nice teeth."

Gotta love mom.
